A. The Department of Biotechnology invites applications for various Group ‘A’ Gazetted posts (Non-Ministerial and Scientific) to be filled on direct recruitment basis:

I) Scientist ‘H’

1) No. of Posts: 3 (Three)

2) Scale of Pay of Rs 22400-525-24500 (revised to pay band of Rs. 37400-67000 with Grade Pay of Rs.12000/-)

3) Age Limit: Below 50 years as on March 01, 2009 (Except for Departmental Candidates)

4) Crucial Date for Determining Eligibility will be March 01, 2009 (Except for Departmental Candidates)

5) Qualifications and Experience:

Essential Qualification: Ph.D or M.Tech or M.D. or M.V.Sc or its equivalent degree from a recognized University.

Minimum experience 20 years

II) Scientist ‘D’

1) No. of Posts: 4 (Four)

2) Scale of Pay of Rs 12000-375-16500 (revised to pay band of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.7600/-)

3) Age Limit: Below 45 years as on March 01, 2009 (Except for Departmental Candidates)

4) Crucial Date for Determining Eligibility will be March 01, 2009 (Except for Departmental Candidates)

5) Qualifications and Experience:

Essential Qualification: Ph.D or M.Tech or M.D. or M.V.Sc or M.Pharm or its equivalent degree from a recognized University.

Minimum experience 6 years

III) Scientist ‘C’

1) No. of posts: 21(Twenty one)

2) Scale of Pay of Rs 10000-325-15200 (revised to pay band of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.6600/-)

3) Age Limit: Below 40 years as on March 01, 2009 (Except for Departmental Candidates)

4) Crucial Date for Determining Eligibility will be March 01, 2009 (Except for Departmental Candidates)

5) Qualifications and Experience:

Essential Qualification: (i) B.E or B.Tech in Information Technology or Chemical Engineering from a recognized University.

(ii) Ph.D or M.Tech or M.D. or M.V.Sc or its equivalent degree from a recognized University.

Minimum experience required for those possessing essential qualification at (i) above - 5 years

Minimum experience required for those possessing essential qualification at (ii) above - NIL
